Location: UAE (part of work will be placed in the USA) Our client is a world leader in International Design engineering and contracting, with operations in the resources and energy industry. Project Duration: approx. 40 months (an open-ended contract with employer) Responsibilities: Responsible for oversight of projects, including: monitoring project budget, forecasts, trends, commitments, actual cost, performance measurement (Earned Value Analysis), and detail cost analysis. Must have the ability to analyze complex business problems in a detail manner and present the results to the appropriate level of management. Interface with customer, EPC contractor and other construction contractors to develop the schedule, assess performance, and provide necessary recovery plan strategies. Requirements: B.S. or equivalent degree in Engineering from an accredited university Fifteen (15) years relevant experience in the oil/gas industry. Preferably will have been in a CONSULTANT's organisation for at least five (5) years in similar position. Recent (within last 3 years) mega project experience i.e minimum USD$1+bn Fully aware of contract types, project planning, project execution work processes (Engineering, Procurement, Construction & Commissioning), estimating systems and software and manufacture processes for critical and major project equipment. Must be familiar with Monte Carlo simulations for risk analysis, ISO 9000 requirements, project financial analysis etc. Working Hours: EPC contractor's office: 48 hrs/week when based in EPC Contractor's Office Construction Phase: 10hours/day, 6 days per week, 260 hours average per month IMPORTANT NOTE: Role would best suit an individual able to work in the USA since visa application process will be time consuming and role envisaged to last only up to a further 6 months in USA before moving to Abu Dhabi for start of construction phase which is likely to last 2+ years. However it may be slightly longer than 6 months or shorter!
